BUS MINISTRY

In 1966 Pastor Ronald Schmuck began driving a Sunday School bus, picking up anyone who needed a ride to church. The bus route quickly filled and overflowed into two routes, and then three! Today ten buses fire up every Sunday morning and travel all across York county picking up boys, girls, men, and women bringing them to church. Dozens of faithful Christians give of their time and energy to the bus ministry to reach lost souls for Jesus Christ.

Over the years, literally thousands of riders have received Jesus Christ as their Savior! Many have joined the church, and some have even gone on to serve the Lord in full-time ministry.

We would love to pick you or your children up this Sunday. Children under 3 years old must be accompanied by an adult. We have classrooms for all ages including a "Faithway Class" for the mentally challenged.

If you would like a ride to church free of charge, please contact the church at (717) 244-3905. We'll have a bus captain visit you at your house and arrange a time to pick you up! The bus captain will escort you or your children from your door to the Sunday School classroom. Climb aboard and each rider will receive a special treat before returning home!

YOUTH GROUP

During our Wednesday night prayer meeting, the youth of RLBC are divided into three groups: Beginners for Jesus (ages 5 - 2nd grade), Crusaders (3rd-6th grade), and TFC (7th - 12th grade).  Each group participates in singing and activities, with a Bible lesson directed toward the specific spiritual needs of each age.

CRUSADERS

Calling all kids! If you are in the third through sixth grade, WE NEED YOU! Crusaders is made up of children who love to have fun and enjoy exploring God's word. The theme of this year is The PROMISES of God. We will be learning some great lessons about our relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the goals of this group is to reach out to children and give them the tools to change their lives for ever. One way, is to give them an opportunity to attend camp in the summer time. Red Lion Bible Church believes it is so important for kids to attend a Christian Camp that is centered on God's word that they are willing to pay for about 80% or more of the fee (if the child will earn the required amount of points during the year).

Each child is given a handbook to help keep them up to date with the many ways to earn points in class. Each Wednesday evening, each worker will help the children record all activities they completed during the week. They can also earn points for bringing their Bible or saying their memory verse. They can even get points for reading their Bible and praying. Mr. Runk brings excitement to the group each week through songs and lessons from the Bible that will help you through each day.

The Crusaders meet on Wednesday evenings in Room 103 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm during the months of September to May.

TEENS FOR CHRIST

The TFC group is led by Youth Pastor Nathan Taylor and his wife, Grace, and they meet every Wednesday night at 7 pm in the Gymnasium.

PRISON MINISTRY

The foundational verse of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry is II Corinthians 5:17, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature..."

Red Lion Bible Church is involved with the prison ministry at the York County Prison in several ways.

Financial Support: Red Lion Bible Church supports the "Good News Jail and Prison Ministry" as a mission outreach of the church. The chaplains in York County Prison are employed by this non-profit organization and not by the state. They are totally dependent on faith-based support.

Church Services: On designated Sundays, Red Lion Bible Church holds two full, one hour church services in the all purpose room in the men's section of the prison. Inmate attendance has been very high and men have been responding to the preaching of God's word.
