Red Lion Bible Church was started in 1965 in a storeroom at 144 East Broadway in Red Lion. The church was formed by four families, and within six months the monthly attendance increased to 85. The decision was then made to build a church.
Ground was purchased on the Charles Flinchbaugh farm, and work on the new church building began in September of 1965. The original building was built by volunteers, and furnished for less than $20,000. Later the rest of the farm was purchased, making a total of 17 acres. As the church rapidly grew, several building additions expanded RLBC in all directions making room for classrooms and a Christian school.
